South Vietnam fruit Festival 2012

On 1 June 2012, the festival ofSouth Vietnamfruit is organized and to be ended in 23 June. This is an annual event ofHo Chi Minh citywhich attracts many visitors.

According to the department of culture, sport and tourism ofHo Chi Minh City, the festival of 2012 will be opened in this 1 June and ended in 23 June in the Culture Tourism area of Suoi Tien in District 9,Ho Chi Minh City. There are many activities in the festival such as floating market which gathers 50 stalls of fruits from 21 provinces ofVietnam.

Apart from the floating market, there are many other activities which honor the garden houses like: fourth competition of nice and safe fruit ofSouth Vietnam, the shaping from fruit competition, introduction of fruit food culture.

Mr. La Quoc Khanh – Vice President of department of culture, tourism and sport ofHo Chi Minh City, said that there will be three Guinness records of fruits to be announced in the festival. This is a chance to honor the achievements of the South house gardens andVietnamin general. Meanwhile, this is a chance for encouraging the demand throughout the country.

The festival in 2011 is said to attract more than 200,000 participations to visit. The organization board gave five gold medals, nine silver medals and 10 bronze medals for the artisans participating in the “form from fruit competition”. There were two records of fruits made in that festival which were the festival of most many types of fruit and the festival with the most many forming works from fruit.
